Just back from a lightning fast trip back home to see the folks and to visit the Knitting and Stitching event of the year at Alexander Palace . It was a lovely crisp autumn day and we sped up to London by train and tube, catching a glimpse of the fantastic new St Pancras International station on the way .
There was just so much to see, and not enough time. One of the best things to see was the "morsbags" display of competition entries, so many bags, so many themes, many that made me laugh out loud, and then I learnt it has a serious aim to reduce the amount of plastic bags we use. Got to start making some me thinks. I didn't get a photo at the exhibition, but this example by Jenthemeister on Flickr gives a taste.
The pre booked afternoon tea finished the day off, and prepared us for the trip home.
